Nottingham University Television Station (NUTS) is a Student Run Service (SRS) which is part of the University of Nottingham Students’ Union.
The station produces a wide range of coverage through its four channels: Culture, Entertainment, News, & Sport
Also, as an international SRS, we provide content from the China campus.
Last year we had over 200 crew members and won 4 NaSTA awards, and 2 Highly Commended awards for our content.
We cover a range of content across our channels, including LIVE broadcasts and series productions. Our year starts off during fresher's week, where we are out and about day and night filming and editing highlights packages of all the events which take place during Week One.
By providing a range of content, we reach out to many different groups across the University. Whether you're interested in getting involved in a gritty-teen drama, a reality show, news-reporting or filming famous bands, we give students the opportunity to take part in a range of activities and roles in television production.
NUTS is one of the few student television stations who have the technical capability to broadcast LIVE on our website. Amongst other shows, we offer a comprehensive live coverage of our Students Union’s elections in March and we have broken the record of longest live broadcast in student television during our reality show The Hall, where we filmed continuously for 72 hours!
Keep up with all the latest NUTS news & videos by following us around the internet.
NUTS take your complaints seriously, a full explanation of our legal policy can be found here.
Also, if you have a complaint with any of our episodes, simply click the "Report this episode" just next to the episode's video player.
You can get involved and join NUTS by finding us at Fresher's Fair or by signing up online through the Student's Union website.
NUTS is not just about making videos though. We offer our members comprehensive training sessions and put on some of the best socials around. During the easter holidays, all members are invited to attend the NaSTA Awards, which this year will take place in Exeter. At the end of the year we also host a NUTS awards ceremony and party for all the members to congratulate everyone on their efforts and achievements. Furthermore, we’re very welcoming to all new members, so if you’re at all interested pop into our office in the Portland building (Room C41) for more info!
